Q: What is a Title?

The opening to any DVD is critical to setting the tone for the following content.  We believe it’s very important to personalize the introductory title, allowing you to highlight key memories regarding your family or a family member.  It’s as equally important to also personalize the closing title for the DVD products

Q: What is a Transition?

Within the DVD packages you have the option to provide from 50 to 150 photos for inclusion in the DVD product.  As we blend each photo together, illustrating the life of the family, we use a portfolio of transition which seamlessly allows one photo to blend into the next photo in a very elegant, yet simple manner.

Q: What is a DVD-R?

DVD-R is a recordable DVD format similiar to CD-R in that it is a write-once and read many optical storage medium.  Our DVDs are produced on the most recognized DVD-R disc brands to ensure the broadest compatibility with older DVD players and DVD drives in PCs.  There will be occurrences where you have an older DVD player or DVD drive which will not recognize the DVD disc.

Q: What is DPI or PPI?

PPI or points per inch is commonly used to describe the quality of resolution, produced through scanning a photo or an item.  With our DVD products we offer a wide variety of scanning options which collect the detailed information that enables us to produce an image that can be enlarged equivalent to high quality poster print.

Q: What is Image Cropping?

Most everyone who takes a photo positions the subject in the center of the photo, which tends to introduce other surrounding objects which may distract or overshadow the main subject of the photo.

Through the digitizing of your customers photos we will apply our cropping techniques, removing unnecessary or unwanted sections of the digital image and create a new focal point on the original subject .

Q: What is Red-Eye Removal?

A common and frustrating outcome in personal photography is the over exposure of the pupil, resulting in the appearance of ‘red eye’ in color photographs.  Some of your customers more memorable  photos are crippled by the occurrence of ‘red eye’.

With our DVD packages we use a dual strategy of removing the red eye appearance during the scanning of the photo and completing the process with our leading image editing software studio.  Our red eye removal technique leaves the photo appearing natural and pleasing to your customer.

Q: What is Photo Sequencing?

As part of the Personalization of our DVD products we guide the customer through the process of choosing the photos they want to be used in the DVD product as well as sequencing the photos in an order that meaningfully describes the life of the family.

Q: What is Auto-run?

With our VisitationDVD product specifically targeted for your customers’ Visitation service, it’s important that the video being presented automatically begin to play as soon as it is placed in the DVD player.  This is commonly referred to as ‘auto-run’.

With typical retail or rental DVDs you must navigate through several layers of menus to find the beginning point of the content you wish to watch. To simplify the overall experience we have designed our VisitationDVD to auto-run once it has been placed into the DVD player.

Q:   What is a Secure DVD Backup?

As part of our DVD packages we archive the digital content and DVD movie to either a local DVD data disc, Onsite Media Storage Server or a Remote Data Center Media Storage server.  This gives you the peace of mind that there is more than one copy of the family keepsake and gives you the flexibility to request additional copies of the DVD over the coming years.

After the FREE secure backup period has passed we will offer an ongoing secure backup of your digital content and DVD movie for an annualized fee.

Q: What is a Read-Writeable CD?

A CD-RW (Compact Disc-Read Writeable) is an optical disc that allows you to read and write data to the disc several times.

As part of our DVD package we include a Read Writeable CD for you to provide us with digital images for inclusion on the DVD product.  We’ve selected the most recognized CD-RW brand for its broad compatibility with legacy CD Writeable drives in PCs.
